Spring (and new calves) Are Here at Last

My neighbor raises cattle. Very good cattle. One of the things I really enjoy is being in and among them during calving season. His cows are very docile, so it is fairly easy and safe, if you don't invade their space.

This was the latest calf. He slept the whole time I was there.

His mother was a few feet away and never moved. She just watched as I took pictures.
This calf was the most inquisitive.

Dirty Steak Knives

Brandon, South Dakota, 9:17 pm:

A wonderful time was had tonight with K8 and Steve the Pilot Guy. Great food (except for the chicken in the taco salad) and some FANTASTIC conversation (discourse as the Pilot would say). It was also a wonderful day to snap a few pictures.

A Hereford with horns!

A muskrat was kind enough to take this for me.

Thanks for the Advice, Kate!

Kate was kind enough to give me advice for when I check into the psychotel. This is my payment for her help.
