They aren't really earmarks

Queen Bee Michele Bachmann and some other Repulican lawmakers have decided the term earmarks may need to be redefined. When things in your electoral district need to be funded, what do you do?
“What I’m commenting on is that we need to have a real, practical working definition of what do we mean by” earmarks."
“It’s like what beauty is,” said Rep. Phil Roe (R-Tenn.). “Everyone knows what a bridge to nowhere is, or an airport that lands no airplanes, or a statue to you — everyone knows that’s bad. It’s easy to say what an earmark isn’t, rather than what an earmark is.”

Quote of the ??????????????

And the wonderful people of Minnesota actually elected this........person!

"If in fact there is a nation who is compliant with all of the rules ahead of time and they've complied with the United Nations on nuclear proliferation, if they fire against the United States a biological weapon, a chemical weapon or maybe a cyber attack, well then we aren't going to be firing back with nuclear weapons," Bachmann said. "Doesn't that make us all feel safe?"

Mini-Soda

If you are Dakota Sioux, you may soon be able to go to Minnesota legally again.

After the Dakota Conflict of 1862, President Lincoln signed a law that sent the Dakota's packing. Trouble is, it's still on the books!

From the Star Tribune, here's the story.

The always exciting Ms. Bachmann is in the news again!

The Minnesota Independent has recently learned that Minnesota Teen Challenge returned the donation ($9,200) to Bachmann two weeks later.

“We didn’t want to be involved if it was dirty money,” Rich Scherber, executive director of Minnesota Teen Challenge, told MnIndy.

Loony Wednesday

Update below

Florida is once again proving itself to be the loon center of the universe. The Florida Senate approved new license plates without even looking at them.

But, Michelle Bachmann, is surely trying her best to help Minnesota into 2nd place.

Ms. Bachmann didn't pay attention in history class, because the swine flu outbreak started in February 1976, while Gerald Ford, a republican, was president.

Update:

Read this letter to the editor in the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Republicans are Easy

Just when you think it can't get any better (or worse) someone like Sen. Michele Bachmann (R MN) comes along. 1st with her anti American witch hunt statement, now this:

Of immigrants unlawfully in the U.S., she added, “They’re bringing in disease and violence and every sort of difficulty. We need to protect ourselves against that.”
