First I was in South Dakota, where these horses were very happy to pose for a group photo. The one in the middle of the picture wasn't real excited, however.
Then, after leaving South Dakota, I stopped in a small Sioux County, Iowa park between Akron and Hawarden*, where you can look over the Big Sioux River and see South Dakota.*Hawarden is home to Iowa Lamb, a lamb packing plant. Gwen loves sheep and lambs!

Gwen hates sheep and lambs and, if something is going to get packed, she'd prefer it be them rather than cute cows.
Aren't horses just lovely? And so inquisitive, which makes them fun for pictures--they bother to look at you.
