Hey, Bob!

Someone at home let Hey Bob outside late Sunday afternoon. It was a very horrifying time for all concerned.

Bob climbed a tree. All the way to the top!

Hey Bob was a bit scared. Whether it had to do with PJ and I telling him to come down or just being in a tree no one really knows for sure.

Hey Bob did get a scolding when he came down, not that it will do any good.

PJ has already introduced Hey Bob to many of you. She probably didn't mention that I had already taught him how to the "Pirate Squint". Well, he's getting better at it.

Christmas Cookies

PJ made these cookies for me. What a great present.

Weddings, Drinking and Me

PJ and I were the bartenders at a wedding reception and dance Saturday night. A few observations:

1. It's a lot of work keeping people refreshed.
2. There are a lot of glasses of beer in ten kegs!
3. It's been a long time since I was sober the whole time and watched how people changed as the evening went on.
4. Most of the music sucked!*
5. I was damn tired by the time we were done.

*If the H ever gets married there will NOT be a DJ handling the music. There will be a genuine polka band from Minnesota to keep the crowd on the dance floor. And they will!

PJ and I have discussed purchasing an aircraft so we could avoid having to charter a plane every time we want to fly somewhere for lunch or dinner. I went over to the Pilot's website, but he doesn't have one of these listed. I guess we will have to buy elsewhere.

Skittles left one of her toys in one of my shoes that I had brought this week. Scared the hell out of me this morning.

My windshield was replaced last summer. Friday, in South Dakota, it suffered a major rock blow. Today I watched the crack progress. What fun.

For H and PJ

Today PJ and I have been married 28* years.

H will celebrate her 25th birthday today.

*PJ just informed me that it is our 29th anniversary.

The End of the World as We Know It!

This morning, between stops, I listened to NPR to hear as much as possible (not much, busy morning) of the inauguration. While I didn't get to stand in front of the television like pj, I was no less moved. Today, I am truly proud to be an American.

By the way, I am in Washington tonight! Washington, Iowa that is. But if I can't be in DC, IA works for me!

It's Tough to be a Bird Sometimes

With a little help from a nice northwest wind the snow that fell Thursday night and yesterday is moving toward the southeast today. PJ's birds are adapting nicely. I am sure they are happy that she feeds them on a daily basis.
