Tragedy Strikes the Heartland

Nestled near a bottle of extra virgin olive oil and a roll of paper towels is a coffee maker. It wasn't the most expensive or the cheapest, but it made coffee for PJ and me every morning.

Sadly, after making one last pot, it died this morning. We are drinking "cowboy coffee" now.

And PJ is shopping online for a new coffee maker as I type this.

I would be lost without my coffee pot. I'm not even sure how to make cowboy coffee. I imagine you poor hot water over a filter or something.

Mom and Dad have a very good coffee maker. Dad says it was well worth the extra expense. Not sure what kind it is. Krups maybe??

Of course my cheap one from college works just fine for me! You can't program it or anything, but who needs that?!?

Cowboy coffee is often referred to as "egg coffee" or, in Minnesota, as "funeral coffee". PJ is great at making it if you need a lesson.
